Our Middle Eastern offices have one of the region's largest construction and property practices. We are looking for a Junior Associate to join our award winning regional construction team based in Doha. The firm's renowned construction dispute resolution ability means that we are well-equipped to handle litigation and transactional work with ease. Most of the projects are on a large scale and have a high profile within the local and international construction market.
Managing a caseload of mainly contentious construction matters
Assisting Partners and Associates with advisory work during project construction phase
Assisting with drafting and negotiating a wide variety of building/ engineering contracts
Assisting with providing advice on warranties, guarantees and appointment documentation
Working with clients and continually developing the aptitude to foster long term client relationships
Interest and participation in practice group business development activities
Strong academic background and training from a recognised international firm/practice
NQ or up to 2 years construction experience gained at a reputable law firm with a strong reputation in the field of construction litigation and international arbitration
An ability to work on both contentious and non-contentious matters is ideal
Regional construction experience is advantageous
A willingness to assume responsibility and take a pro-active and commercial approach to issues
A genuine interest in marketing/ business development
Ability to work in a team and autonomously
