Description
At Clyde & Co, a leading global law firm, we're seeking a
passionate and detail-oriented Billing Assistant to join our dynamic
Finance team. This is an opportunity to contribute your expertise and
play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of client billing.
Responsibilities:
Generate and dispatch client invoices with precision and efficiency
Provide comprehensive support to Partners on all aspects of billing
Prepare billing guides, write-off time and disbursements, and
close files with meticulous attention to detail
Assist Partners in navigating matter management issues
Utilise Elite 3E to address client inquiries and ensure accurate
VAT charges
Offer expert advice on billing procedures, VAT issues, and general queries
Scan and upload invoices onto Elite 3E
Create apportioned and ad-hoc billing schedules in Excel
Uphold agreed Service Levels consistently
Support the new NBI process by reviewing financial information for
new matters
Embrace ad hoc tasks as assigned by your line manager
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proficient in narrative production
Solid understanding of apportionment (multi-party), net recovery,
and joint billing
Grasp of foreign currency issues
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
In-depth knowledge of VAT regulations in relation to Solicitor
Client Billing
Strong numeracy and attention to detail
Exceptional written communication skills
Adaptability and flexibility to handle busy periods
Expertise in 3E software (adventageous)
Familiarity with Whitehill billing system (advantageous)
Experience with electronic billing (advantageous)
