Our National Clerkship Program
Our National Clerkship Program is designed
for law students in their penultimate year of study to get a real
insight into how our firm operates and make a genuine contribution
to our matters. You will get first-hand experience of what it is
like to work at a large legal practice, build your relationships
with our Partners and employees across the firm in an environment
that thrives on open communication and team work.
We're proud that our National Clerkship
Program was awarded one of the Australian Top Internship Programs
for 2020 by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers. This
award is based on the direct feedback from our previous clerks which
demonstrates that our program will provide you with a rewarding,
supportive and enjoyable experience that is one of the best in the country.
In summary, our program in Sydney is
structured so that you:
Complete two five week rotations in
different teams across our firm
Participate in a comprehensive national
induction program with your fellow clerks across the country
Have access to our award winning Learning
& Development programs including legal skills training, IT
systems training, soft skills workshops and practice group specific
information sessions
Participate in our national pro bono
clerkship project
Have daily access to our Senior Leaders and
Partners in a number of practice area presentations
Build relationships with people across the
firm through a variety of social events and become truly embedded in
our firm culture

Our National Clerkship Program links
closely with our Graduate Program and completing a Clerkship allows
you a direct opportunity to secure a Graduate position with us in
