ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST

Hybrid work schedule - Ottawa office

Norton Rose Fulbright is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to provide the collection service for our Ottawa office . This person will report to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader.

You will be focusing on:

  • Collect accounts receivable by communicating with clients by telephone or in writing;
  • Persuade the debtor that the debt is due and payable
  • Solve problems by taking cover arrangements with the debtor;
  • Update the information concerning the debtor to the computer system;
  • With the approval of the supervisor, communicate with clients about different requirements in the file;
  • Prepare statements of account and certain daily, weekly and monthly reports;
  • Answer telephone calls and emails;
  • Provide lawyers, agents and staff with all required information in a quick and professional manner;
  • Perform other administrative tasks.

What you bring to the role:

  • DCS in Administration or other relevant field;
  • Minimum of five (5) years' work experience, including two (2) years in a similar position;
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Bilingual is an asset
  • Precision, meticulousness, attention to detail;
  • Good judgment, respect for the client and discretion;
  • Versatility and flexibility;
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to establish priorities;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to handle a considerable volume of clients' files.
