The Role

Norton Rose Fulbright's Technology practice group is recognised as one of the leading teams in Australia. You will have direct exposure to a diverse group of clients including government, data centre operators, financial institutions and large corporates. You will work on an array of high-profile and market-leading matters including:

  • Procurement, licensing and/or supply of hardware, software, cloud services, managed services and other goods and services
  • Outsourcing and insourcing of business processes and functions
  • Government procurement (State and Federal)
  • Cyber security and data risk, including incident response and regulatory compliance, from privacy to security of critical infrastructure
  • Artificial intelligence and intellectual property rights commercialisation, protection and enforcement
  • Telecommunications transactional and regulatory advisory
  • Specialist corporate support in mergers and acquisitions

Requirements

The successful candidate will be engaging, highly motivated and looking for a collaborative, caring and high performing environment in which they can thrive. As an experienced Senior Associate you will be able to demonstrate:

  • 5+ years PQE with exposure to matters spanning technology, IP, telecoms, privacy, cyber, digital platforms, SOCI, outsourcing projects and technology procurement
  • Experience of transactional, advisory and M&A matters involving technology, IP, cyber, data and AI
  • Outstanding written, drafting and verbal communication skills
  • A strong desire to work on complex, high profile matters
  • The ability to anticipate, prioritise and effectively manage competing deadlines
  • Commitment to excellence and exceptional client service
  • The ability and motivation to mentor juniors
  • A collaborative approach to business development and firm-wide initiatives
  • An innovative mindset
