Demand on our services has created an opportunity for an IT Business Analyst to join the Information Technology team in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a unique opportunity join a team that presents exciting potential for career advancement and significant development opportunities.

Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking candidates who have a passion for driving business transformation through the implementation of IT systems and improvements to processes. To succeed in this role, you will have strong all-round BA skills (minimum 2-3 years' experience in a corporate IT team), exposure to systems testing, and be able to build a great rapport with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements
  • Develop top level process flows and facilitate solution design for business systems
  • Develop test plans and test cases, execute tests and log issues
  • Ensure adherence to the National IT standards
  • Where required, model business processes and facilitate their re-design by users
  • Lead and undertake the formal requirements analysis of new systems and enhancements to existing systems

Requirements

  • Experience working in a comparable business analyst role
  • Experience with business process design and notation tools such as BPMN or UML
  • Good working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Excel and Visio
  • Experience of working in a large IT department, ideally within professional services or a law firm environment
  • Experience with IT systems testing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
