We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our dynamic Finance Team. As Osborne Clarke embark on an exciting period of change with the imminent move to a new practice management system (PMS), we are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to help design and develop insightful Management Information reports, as well as contributing with budgeting and forecasting processes within the FP&A team.

The successful candidate will enjoy a collaborative role working with Practice Groups, Service Lines and Customer Relationship teams. This role is based out of our new central Bristol office in Finzel's Reach with the option for some homeworking too.

Key responsibilities

This is an exceptional opportunity that offers a diverse range of responsibilities and scope for professional growth. Given the significant tasks both prior to and after the launch of new PMS, the key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Rebuild management information and board reporting: support with requirements gathering and design of dashboards (PowerBI).
  • Pre go live assessment work with the FP&A manager to define the long term reporting strategy.
  • Contributing to budget, planning and forecast process and month end close.
  • Assistance in financial year-end preparation and reporting, including collation of presentations and data for management meetings.
  • Manage the production of regular reporting with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Preparing financials for annual surveys, involving collaboration with other business services teams such as HR, Risk & Compliance, IT etc.
  • Assist with the set-up and management of a client reporting governance framework.
  • Data validation within the new PMS.
  • Liaising with the International Finance teams and sharing best practice with regards to standardised reporting and processes.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support, client reporting and project involvement as required.

Who we are looking for

  • Experience of using PowerBI or Business Objects.
  • Excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills.
  • Excel data modelling and data manipulation skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in studying for a professional accountancy qualification.
  • An eye for design and understanding of presenting finance information to non-finance professionals.
  • Experience of working in a professional services environment.
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience communicating to senior stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to work within a team and on own initiative.
