Role:
We are seeking a
Supervising/Managing Associate, ideally with 5 - 10 years of
experience working in private practice in China to join the
Corporate & Commercial team in Beijing or Hong Kong. You will
work with Partners and Associates across other offices, as part of a
collegiate and supportive international group.
You will have the opportunity to
work on high-value and often high profile Private Equity/Venture
Capital/M&A transactions within the TMT sector, frequently with
a cross-border/PRC element. Experience in managing PE/VC
transactions in TMT sector in China would be required and experience
in other general corporate work would be welcome as well.
Person Specification:
PRC qualification is essential;
other common law qualification is a plus;
You will ideally have 5-10 years
working experience in a leading Chinese or international law firm
in China;
You will have an LLB from a
prestigious university in China;
Fluent in English and Mandarin;
excellent English and Chinese drafting skills
You will have a solid
understanding of Chinese law and solid experience in M&A and
PE/VC transactions in China;
Attention to details and able to
work efficiently;
Commercially driven and able to
work independently, drive a deal as well as work as part of a
diverse and inclusive team;
You will demonstrate strong
negotiation skills with solution driven mindset; and
You will have a flexible
approach to your work and a willingness to work additional
hours/travel on occasion as required.
