We are looking to appoint a senior lawyer with at least 5 years’ PQE to the China Disputes Group in our Hong Kong office. 

The successful candidate will have a broad range of commercial litigation experience gained with a leading international firm.  A particular emphasis on insurance disputes and / or arbitration is preferred and any experience in financial services (regulatory) would be a bonus.

We are looking for a candidate with the ability to supervise and provide on the job training for the junior members of our team, who can deal with clients directly and who will be able to manage and develop the practice.

Excellent academics and an enthusiastic and team focussed approach are essential to fit into this growing and respected practice.

Candidates must be admitted to practise in Hong Kong, and should be fluent in English. Candidates who are fluent in Cantonese and/or Mandarin, with the ability to read and write Chinese will be highly regarded.

We advise on all types of disputes and offer genuine depth of knowledge within our team, with some of Hong Kong’s leading figures in key dispute resolution areas.  We believe our clients benefit from our lawyers’ commercial awareness.

Our approach to litigation and dispute resolution is that prevention is better than a cure.  We advise regularly on risk management.  We also recognise the value of alternative dispute resolution.  Where disputes cannot be resolved amicably we think winning means achieving a realistic result as quickly and efficiently as possible through arbitration or litigation.
