Role Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced IT Infrastructure Analyst to
join the IT Infrastructure Team.
The IT Infrastructure function is responsible globally for the
design, development, management, architecture, operation and full
lifecycle of all IT Infrastructure for the firm's offices. The team
ensure that the company's IT Infrastructure, networks and associated
systems run smoothly, perform within agreed targets and provide a
secure platform for the company's business operations.
The core infrastructure team is a team of 5 highly skills analyst and
a team leader. The team is in London with one analyst in Hong Kong. We
cover a shift rota of 7am-3pm 9am-5pm and a working from home shift of
3pm - 11pm. The evening shift is typically 1 in 4 weeks.
The role will suit a highly driven, self-motivator, with a strong
desire to meet a challenge, exceed expectations and deliver as a team.
Someone who can cope with a fast moving and ever-changing environment.
Someone who isn't afraid of change and to take advantage of new
technologies on the horizon.
Key internal relationships
Key working relationships with the Infrastructure Team Lead and
Infrastructure Manager will be crucial for the role. Strong
relationships with the members of Business Systems and Service
Delivery will be vital in order to attain effective service levels.
Building effective and strong relationship with IT security is essential.
Reports to
IT Infrastructure Team Leader
Duties and Responsibilities include but not are limited to the following:
Delivering operationally excellent services to the business and
ensuring infrastructure whether cloud or on prem is resilient,
patched and secure
Participating in our daily stand up to highlight to progress on
our key priorities, escalating any blockers to the team lead and
team manager
Developing your own skills and undertaking R&D to improve our systems
Building team roadmaps with management and taking accountability
for pushing items through to completion
Updating our Azure DevOps board with progress and keeping
stakeholders informed
Work with stakeholders to define systems requirements for new
technology implementations
Accurately estimate work packages to stakeholders and deliver on time
Contribute to the drive of automation and continuous improvement
of services and support
Establishing processes and procedures to improve and support
globally service delivery
Ensure operational documentation is up to date, tested and
distributed where needed
Ensure the global infrastructure and RPC core technology is
operating at all times and service windows are used effectively for
patching and maintenance work
Undertake change submission role including submitting new change
requests and attending the weekly CAB meeting as required
Feed into Major Incident Management and Problem Management
processes and ensure these filters down to Infrastructure team members
Keep up to date on the latest technologies and solutions and
conduct research into their potential application in the firm
Work within the RPC project methodology for all projects
Fulfil responsibilities in the event of an emergency or disaster
in adherence with BC/DR policies
Knowledge, skills and experience
At least five years' experience in a Infrastructure IT position,
preferably in a professional partnership
Azure cloud computing knowledge and experience necessary for this
role, ideally certified
Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
Designing virtualisation and storage solutions with hands on SAN experience
Exposure over many years to a wide variety of applications and technologies
In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Deep understanding of project management principles and application
Software experience and knowledge
