About the role
Our Real Estate team is renowned for development and investment work,
and as a result of our continued success we are seeking a Professional
Support Lawyer to work alongside our current Real Estate Professional
Support Lawyer.
Based on a 3 day working week, the role will be primarily home based,
with the occasional requirement to attend one of our South West offices.
You will be providing training and knowledge management support to
the firm's Real Estate department. You will also be a part of the
Firms' wider Knowledge Management team in driving improvements in the
standardisation of procedures and consistent working practices across
the firm.
Key responsibilities include:
Keeping up with law and market practice.
Analysing new law and developments and communicating to fee
earners effectively.
Drafting updates, guides and articles for internal and external audiences.
Developing best practice with regard to storage of knowledge materials.
Supporting fee earners with queries arising from their
transactions and undertaking legal research where appropriate.
Creating and updating templates.
Working with our Learning and Development team to provide relevant
technical training for fee earners, and assisting with seminars and
bespoke training for clients.
Working with our Risk and Compliance team to ensure understanding
and effective. implementation within the real estate department of
firm wide communications and policies.
Identifying cross selling opportunities.
Co-ordinating directory submissions.
About You
In order to be successful in your application for this position, you
will have:
Strong general Real Estate background and solid technical/drafting skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Good project management skills with the ability to cope with
pressures associated with handling multiple tasks and associated deadlines.
Organised, with lateral thinking skills and an eye for detail.
Commercial awareness and an ability to understand and relate to
clients' needs, and a commitment to delivering excellent client care.
A team player, with the temperament to form effective working
relationships with partners, employees and clients.
Qualified solicitor/CILEX with transactional Real Estate
experience from a reputable Real Estate team (typically over 3-4
years PQE).
Experience in Residential Development preferred but not essential.
