The Opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Legal Cashier to join our Brisbane office on a permanent basis.

As a Legal Cashier you will have the opportunity to work as part of our Ashurst Service Central - Finance team to deliver a range of services to internal and external clients in relation to Finance Operations activities.

Some of your main areas of focus in the role will be;

  • Trust & contolled monies support, including receipting of incoming funds, processing requests to draw down on funds, and opening and closing of controlled monies account;
  • Accounts receivable support;
  • General operational finance support including billing assistance and management of the Firm's bank mandates.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to utilise your previous finance knowledge and gain exposure and knowledge within a global finance team.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Prior finance knowledge either in accounts receivables, cashiering, trust accounting and/or general finance administration.
  • Ability to work autonomously under tight timeframes in a fast paced evolving environment.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner, whether written or verbal.
  • Intermediate problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to identify issues and suggest solutions.
  • Strong MS Excel and data entry ability.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Experience within a law firm is desirable, however not essential.
