Job Title Business Analyst (Transformation Management Office)

The Opportunity:

We have an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Transformation Management Office, based in our Brisbane or Sydney office, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Our Transformation Management Office is engaged in the delivery of a core part of the firm's business plan to help drive performance to the 2027 goals.

As a Business Analyst, you will engage with stakeholders globally to implement significant change across the firm, ensuring Ashurst is best placed to respond to the changing demands of clients and embracing evolving technologies and ways of working. Your key duties will include leading the requirements analysis, undertaking business analysis, managing change requirements, working collaboratively with the change team and helping to shape implementation plans.

  • Lead requirements analysis, definition, validation and verification
  • Facilitate requirements prioritisation based on business value, and manage, prioritise and enhance user requirements or product backlogs as appropriate
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction where required for delivery
  • Supporting project change activities
  • Liaise with the workstream leads to ensure that the proposed outcomes, solutions, supporting systems, processes and plans fully support the business requirements

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Prior experience in a Business Analyst role in a law firm
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery with a focus on technology and digital projects (approximately 2-5 years' experience).
  • Experience of Business Analysis and requirements gathering using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g. visio, etc).
  • Strong people management and influencing skills and a flexible approach
  • Due to the global nature of most projects, the flexibility to work outside of the standard 9-5 hours from time to time
