IT Service Desk Team Leader - 6 month FTC

The Opportunity

Ashurst is a leading progressive global law firm with a rich history spanning more than 200 years.

Our IT team is looking for an experienced Service Desk Team Leader to join our team on a 6 month fixed term basis in our Brisbane office due to an internal secondment.

This role will guide and advise staff on all aspects of the firm's IT services. You will assist with day to day management of the Global IT Service Desk to ensure the Team provides an effective, efficient and client-focused support service to the firm. Focus on exceeding expectations when considering Client and Fee earning matters

  • Day to day management and development of the Global IT Service Desk team to assist with maintaining >80% resolution of tickets (FTF).
  • Experience in leading a team of Service Desk analysts providing phone, email and in-person support. Managing any operational and staffing aspects, shift rotas, holidays, liaising with other IT staff and escalating where necessary
  • To ensure the resolution of all IT incidents and service requests within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA
  • Excellent team leader, able to demonstrate motivation and implement inspiration to team members daily. Ensure the team provides quality, correct and timely information and services to our users

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:

  • Strong leadership skills with prior Team Leader experience.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills; working to provide a responsive, effective and personable IT support service to exceed our user expectations.
  • Highly motivated. Uses initiative with a positive and can do attitude.
  • Analysis and troubleshooting skills of all IT incidents.
  • Flexibility: may occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends
