The Opportunity:

Ashurst is seeking an Integration and Automation developer to join their team in Brisbane.

The successful candidate will join the Platforms Team to support the integration of cloud and on premise applications, and automation of existing processes and reporting. They will work both with our global IT, and our Business associates teams. This role is designed to enhance efficiency and productivity across operations within Ashurst by providing a suite of solutions aimed at transforming time-consuming and highly repetitive tasks into seamless automated processes and fostering connectivity and collaboration among the diverse range of applications and systems across Ashurst.

The role will involve working in partnership with design, technology, legal and client teams, as well as external consultants, employing Agile and Lean methodologies, adaptive project management and human-centred design principles. In addition to providing hands-on support, there is the opportunity to help us to refine and shape our development processes and best practice.

Aside from having prior experience as an Integrations and Automation developer, being an excellent and collaborative communicator, demonstrating proactive behaviours and problem solving skills will be significant differentiators in our recruitment process.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have some of the following skills and experience:

  • Commercial experience with C#, Java or other language with knowledge on Microsoft technologies.NET Core, REST API's, Azure SQL.
  • Experience with Azure architectures.
  • Knowledge and experience of developing and consuming RESTful web services as well as API Security, Azure Functions, API Apps and experience with tools such as Postman and Swagger.
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices: object-oriented design and implementation, SOLID principles, Agile and Scrum.
  • Knowledge or experience in Test Driven Development.
  • Familiarity with practices and use of supporting tools.
  • Effective team-working, communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining and building working relationships with colleagues and clients.
