The Opportunity

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Finance Analyst to join our global team in Brisbane. The role will involve extensive interaction with stakeholders so we are seeking a professional, confident and solutions focussed individual. In this role you will support the firm's client/matter life cycle including:

  • Matter tracking and monitoring
  • Producing financial reports and analysis;
  • Matter pricing and resource planning including reporting to business managers around compliance with pricing governance framework;
  • Quality assurance for matter set up and commercial terms for high value matters and commercial arrangements.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven financial analysis skills and strong commercial acumen
  • Prior experience at Analyst level in a Law firm, or Financial or Professional Services firm
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of programs in the Microsoft suite including Excel (vlookups and pivot tables), Power BI and a working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with 3e or similar and IBM TM1 will be well regarded
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to very tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation
  • Ability to identify and escalate areas of risk to the divisional business managers
