The Opportunity:

The Global Head of CMG Operations is responsible for leading and managing the Operations team within the Clients, Markets & Growth (CMG) function at Ashurst. You will play a key role in optimising the effectiveness and quality of Business Development service delivery and business impact across the function, in collaboration with other Business Services functions.

You will drive operational excellence, engineering seamless processes and organisational effectiveness, quality and consistency. With a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset, you will ensure that every facet of our operations aligns with Ashurst's FY27 strategy.

This role is complex and multifaceted, requiring a seasoned professional who can manage the intricacies of global operations within a professional services firm. The Global Head of CMG Operations will play a critical role in shaping the future of the firm's growth and operational success.

About You:

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is desirable.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in operations management within a professional services environment, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in leading business development operations on a global scale, with a strong understanding of international markets and cultural nuances.

  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to work on complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the proficiency to engage effectively at all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other business development tools and technologies.
  • A strategic and innovative thinker with a growth mindset.
