The Opportunity

We have a permanent opportunity available for a Financial Accountant to join our high performing Financial Accounting team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be a key member of the team, driving financial service delivery and taking responsibility for a range of outputs including:

  • Assist with month-end close in line with monthly timetable;
  • Preparation and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations including supporting schedules, particularly focussed on fixed assets, payroll and leave provisions.
  • Assistance with preparation of financial statements.
  • Various ad hoc projects as required.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified in Accounting/Finance
  • CA/CPA or working towards (mandatory)
  • Approximately 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, comfortable communicating across all levels in the organisation
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with demonstrated prior success in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
