The Opportunity

Ashurst operates at the heart of the real estate industry worldwide, and team have been involved in many of the largest and most complex real estate projects undertaken in Australia.

Our Brisbane team regularly advises private and government clients on complex real estate transactions across multiple jurisdictions and sectors. The Brisbane team has a dual focus on investment and development real estate, as well as government and infrastructure based property transactions.

The real estate market in Brisbane is stronger than ever with some exciting large-scale projects on the horizon. Similarly, our team is continuing to see growth and are now looking for a senior Lawyer or Senior Associate with experience across all aspects of real estate activity to join our high performing team.

About You

  • 4-7 years' commercial property law experience gained within a quality firm or in-house.
  • Experience with acquisitions and disposals; large infrastructure projects and renewables work beneficial.
  • Transactional commercial real estate experience and an in-depth understanding of the issues that can arise on relevant transactions.
  • A commercial approach and an ability to articulate and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with a superior drafting ability.
  • A proactive, positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service and, a desire to interact with the market and build client relationships.
