The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of high calibre matters, our Projects & Energy Transition team in Brisbane are looking for a Lawyer with a background in major projects and a commercial mindset to join our leading practice.

In this role you will work closely with the Partners and Senior Associates on a broad range of matters relating to the procurement and delivery of major projects in the construction, resources, transport, energy and infrastructure sectors. You will be supported as you continue to refine your skills and will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with our market-leading team, top-notch clients and leading industry partners.

About you

  • 3 years or more post admission experience, ideally obtained within a projects, infrastructure or construction practice area at a top-tier/ mid-tier firm, in-house, or a combination of these;
  • Passionate about the sectors that we work in and sees the big picture beyond legal issues;
  • Exceptional ability to build meaningful and long-lasting relationships with colleagues and clients;
  • Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively alongside the wider team to deliver exceptional client outcomes;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Advanced drafting skills;
  • A commercial approach while remaining legally appropriate having regard to all broader circumstances;
  • Very strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills; and
  • Ability to be team-focused and also work independently.
