We deliver strategic projects and commercial advice and solutions to enable planning, delivery and operation of major infrastructure projects and programs across a range of priority portfolios including energy, transport, housing, health, education and others.

Working with both government and non-government clients, you will work alongside Ashurst's Projects &Energy Transition, Real Estate & Property legal teams to bring a unique and market-leading approach to advising and supporting clients to navigate complex strategic commercial issues throughout the infrastructure lifecycle.

As a result of establishing and growing our team, we are looking to hire an Executive (equivalent to a Manager/Senior Manager/AD in Big4 consulting) with project risk experience in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.

You will be responsible for delivering commercial, risk-based solutions grounded in strong experience and expertise, providing effective communication to clients, maintaining key Ashurst and client relationships, and contributing to the growth and development of the Risk Advisory practice and Infrastructure, Places and Capital Projects team in Australia and globally.

You will also drive and contribute to business development activities, including tendering, to build the profile of the firm and yourself.

About You:

  • You have 5-9 years of specialised infrastructure and/or property risk advisory experience, ideally within a consulting environment, and are comfortable advising clients on complex commercial issues relating to major public infrastructure and/or property projects to ensure project success.
  • Candidates with additional experience in finance / financial advisory, property development / advisory, economics, strategy, risk and / or engineering are highly valued.
  • You're a self-starter who is keen to work in a fast-paced environment that is always evolving and requires you to be proactive, adaptable and humble.
  • You have proven experience delivering high quality work for clients and stakeholders in line with expectations and deadlines.
  • You're confident in autonomously finding solutions to a range of problems, especially those related to risk management, in a commercial and client focused way.
  • You have proven experience in business development including developing go-to-market material and proposals.
  • You have experience developing and managing project plans and ensuring project budgets are met.
  • You have proven experience coaching and guiding junior members of your team.
  • You have experience providing the highest quality service to clients and fostering professional and commercial relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • You're passionate about collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to solve client problems. You proactively seek and welcome feedback to support the development of your skills and expertise.
  • You're excited to work in a team that allows you to take on more responsibility and proactively get involved in a range of work, including client interaction and business development.
