Job Title Workplace Project Manager - Office Relocation

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Workplace Project Manager to join the Global Workplace team on a 9-month fixed term contract, based in Sydney. This is a busy period for the team, with multiple projects underway, including a significant relocation project in Sydney.

The Workplace Project Manager will have autonomy over a number of workplace projects, at the direction of the Global Head of Workplace. They will be responsible for co-ordinating with other departments and external contractors to ensure premises projects are properly and appropriately managed, resourced in line with timescales, and that all interdependencies and risks across related support areas are identified and managed effectively.

Through discussions with local Ashurst staff, they will help ensure the outcomes of each project meet the requirements for that office, while ensuring compliance with global Ashurst Workplace standards and strategy.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will display the following skills and experience:

  • Substantive experience as a project manager with a proven track record of successfully managing and leading property or workplace related projects, within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on complex, large-scale business transformation projects, across the whole project lifecycle including scoping, scheduling, costing, resourcing, change, communications, quality, risk and project closure.
  • Advanced organisational and influencing skills, flexibility of style and attention to detail, whilst being a critical and logical thinker, able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high pressured, detail-oriented environment.
  • Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills at all levels; client focused with the ability to liaise at a senior level within the firm, while being tactful and diplomatic when in pressured situations.
