The Opportunity:

We currently have permanent full-time opportunities available for Administrative Assistants (Team Assistants) to join our Sydney office.

Our Administrative Assistants (Team Assistants) work closely with legal staff and Practice Executives to provide proactive and effective general administrative assistance.

As an Administrative Assistant (Team Assistant) with Ashurst, some of your main responsibilities will be;

  • creating and amending documents (e.g. PowerPoint presentations, pitches, comparisons);
  • arranging meetings, conferences or video calls (e.g. booking meeting rooms and coordinating services requested by legal staff);
  • data entry for record keeping and updating client databases;
  • processing and submitting expense claims and other administrative tasks (e.g. engagement letters, membership, learning records, business cards, labels);
  • printing, scanning, copying and matter opening; and
  • assisting Practice Executives with creating, amending and finalising of client invoices and associated monthly client reporting.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you have a keen interest in developing your legal administrative career and are looking to expand your current administrative skill set within the legal industry. You will be provided full training and our Team Leaders will support you in developing and growing your career as part of our legal support operations team.

About You:

To be successful in the role you will have;

  • strong organisational skills and ability to plan and prioritise effectively;
  • resilience, with the ability to thrive and effectively work with continuous change, challenging stakeholders and tight deadlines;
  • methodical approach, with high levels of attention to detail;
  • demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adjust priorities or working hours when necessary;
  • excellent level of technical ability in Microsoft programs, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel; and
  • willingness to learn new skills and develop or improve skill sets.
