The Opportunity:

We have an opportunity available for an experienced leader with significant legal and management experience to join Ashurst Advance to manage and drive the further development of our Advanced Solutions business in APAC. This role is based in Brisbane, alongside the majority of our APAC Advanced Solutions team.

Advanced Solutions combines legal, delivery, project management, process improvement and technology capabilities in a single team to provide high quality, innovative, end-to-end solutions across multiple industries, regions and practice areas, including disputes, corporate, commercial, finance, regulatory and real estate.

This role will enable you to use your extensive leadership and legal experience in a new and exciting way on challenging and high profile work to deliver value and a differentiated experience to our clients, create great opportunities for the career progression and skills development of others and drive the achievement of our strategic objectives.

Some of your core responsibilities in the role will be;

  • Collaborating with the divisional and practice leadership team, global Advanced Solutions Practice Head and Advanced Solutions Director (EMEA)
  • Responsibility for client outcomes, including the quality of our services and solutions delivered in the APAC region.
  • Leading the delivery of our most complex and high profile mandates.
  • Driving continuous improvement and profitability in relation to core services and solutions through operational efficiency and excellence.

About You:

  • Significant experience in people and business leadership roles in legal environments
  • Located in Brisbane (or relocating to Brisbane)
  • A commercial, strategic and client-focused mindset.
  • Industry knowledge and a genuine interest in the transformation of professional services and the future of the legal profession.
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
  • A collaborative approach to problem solving and the delivery of client outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated management of large projects.
