Department / Role overview

We are currently looking for a paralegal / Legal Manager to join our Corporate Transactions group. The job holder will work closely with partners, counsels and associates in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai to provide transactional support to ensure that our lawyers can focus on clients' needs and deliver quality and efficient service.

Main responsibilities

  • Draft, review and proofread documents.
  • Assist with legal due diligence exercises and prepare legal due diligence questionnaires and reports.
  • Attend on-site due diligence trips and meetings.
  • Conduct legal and company research and analysis.
  • Handle legal translations.
  • Assist with verification of disclosure documents.
  • Assist with the signing and completion of the transactions.

Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Essential skills and experience

  • A university degree in law with excellent academic achievements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and native Mandarin speaker;
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, maturity and common sense with good judgment;
  • Good work ethic and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ideally with relevant 1-2 years' experience in IPO and M&A.
