The Opportunity

Ashurst's bold 2027 strategy involves significant investment in our Projects & Energy Transition teams across Australia. We are making significant progress and are looking to bolster our teams further with this new role. Our Partners, Gaelan Cooney and Marina Tinning, are seeking Lawyers or Senior Associates with experience in a project finance, corporate and acquisition finance or broader finance-related experience to work across complex and challenging project finance and corporate finance matters.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 3 - 7 years PQE gained within a top-tier or mid-tier firm, or in-house;
  • Strong technical skills in relation to finance law and drafting coupled with an ability to address legal advice within a commercial context;
  • Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively, bring lawyers into matter workstreams and actively mentor lawyers;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Advanced drafting skills; and
  • Exceptional attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
