Ashurst Reach is the firm's dedicated flexible legal resourcing platform which provides the firm's clients and Practice Groups within the firm with access to a high quality talent pool of lawyers and paralegals. We understand that our clients need access to highly qualified lawyers and paralegals, often at short notice and/or for short periods, whether that be to meet internal client demands, backfill leave, provide cover during recruitment or to assist with specialised projects. We deliver a seamless, fast and trusted solution to these issues.

Ashurst Reach is an integral part of the firm's NewLaw division, Ashurst Advance. Our focus is solving our clients' business problems through optimal efficiency, cost effectiveness and digitally innovative legal service delivery.

The Opportunity:

• 12 month contract
• Full time (with a minimum of 3 days in the office). May consider 4 days
• Brisbane

Job overview/skills needed:

• Experienced front-end construction/projects lawyer
• Ability to work with non-traditional contract models but also understands traditional construction contracts
• Commercially minded and is comfortable making recommendations to the business
• Property development experience and experience working with a statutory organisation and in a regulated environment preferred
• Experience working on rail projects is ideal
• Ability to work with external law firms
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritise
• Ability to be a doer and confident being on the tools
• A minimum of 8 years' experience
• The ability to understand and adapt to the needs of the business
• A current practising certificate
