Description

The programme is designed to give first year university students a real insight to life as a commercial lawyer and the work that we do at Baker McKenzie.

Our aim is to equip students with the skills and knowledge that they need to pursue their career when they return to university; this will be done by a series of interactive workshops, shadowing, networking and one-to-one sessions with graduate recruitment. The first year insight scheme will take place in our London office.

To be eligible for this programme, you must be in your first year of study at a UK university.

To help manage your expectations, please see below our assessment timeline (please note - this timeline is subject to our discretion):

  • 1st October 2024 - Applications open.
  • 1st October - 1st February 2025 - Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
  • 1st February 2025 - Applications deadline.
  • February 2025 - Successful candidates sent an invite to undertake a video interview.
  • March 2025 - Successful candidates invited to First Year Insight Scheme
  • 29th - 30th April 2025 - First Year Insight Scheme takes place
