Description

The Role

As a People Experience Specialist, you will support the Talent Manager in enhancing the overall employee experience by focusing on people-centric initiatives and delivering premium HR services.

Your role is pivotal in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring employee satisfaction, and driving engagement through innovative HR practices.

Main responsibilities:

Operational Support

  • Lawyer Collaboration: Work closely with Practice Groups lawyers in Brussels on all lawyer-related matters, ensuring their needs are met and supported.
  • Mobility Program Coordination: Oversee the mobility program placements both to and from the Brussels office, including the receiving and sending of secondees to and from clients, while liaising with key stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the new joiner and leaver process for employees and lawyers, conducting new joiner meetings and exit interviews to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Performance and Compensation Management: Coordinate the mid-year and annual performance process, as well as the compensation and bonus review, ensuring these processes run smoothly and effectively.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Produce relevant paperwork, letters, contracts, and reports for all HR-related matters, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Project Leadership: Lead or assist with ad hoc project work covering areas such as retention, performance, and talent management, focusing on enhancing the people experience.
  • Process Improvement: Maintain an overview of all HR processes, prioritizing areas for improvement and ensuring successful implementation to enhance the overall employee lifecycle.
  • Advisory: Provide comprehensive HR advice to lawyers on all people-related matters, including performance and capability, training programs, absence management, and flexible working applications. As well as back up to the HR officer supporting staff in people matters and payroll.

Technical skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous HR experience is essential
  • Experience within the legal sector or other professional services firms is a must
  • Strong understanding of and key interest in the people experience lifecycle
  • Expertise in people experience and data analytics, with a strong affinity for a data-driven approach
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in payroll administration matters
  • Working knowledge and understanding of employment law, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to identify appropriate actions to resolve issues using well-defined policies and procedures, with guidance from the Talent Manager
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and arrange own activities to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to build rapport and develop relationships at all levels
  • Strong drive, delivery focus, and attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach, effectively working with others to achieve success
