Description

The B2B Marketing and BD Executive will have a wide array of responsibilities and the opportunity to directly influence the way marketing initiatives are developed and implemented.

Responsibilities:

Business Development, Planning and Budget

  • Work with the partners to craft, monitor, and execute the Cairo office BD/marketing plan and budget to support demonstrable growth
  • Work with the firm's partners and lawyers responding to Requests for Proposals (RFP) with the provision of tailored proposals
  • Support with deal collection activities and maintaining the practice and industry capability statements

Directories, Awards & League Tables

  • Manage Cairo office input for annual legal directory submissions and nominations for industry awards
  • Use the deal collection process to support the submission of deals to industry league tables

Communications and Events

  • Supervise and manage Conference organization, seminars/webinars, and social events including managing lawyers' events and attendance
  • Work alongside the firm's regional MENA Comms lead on internal office announcements and external communications including social media and press releases
  • Share Global/Regional campaigns/reports on the Cairo social media channels, particularly LinkedIn. Work with lawyers and partners to develop and enhance their social media presence
  • Oversee the Cairo office pages on bakermckenzie.com and other external websites

Sponsorships/Memberships

  • Manage and supervise Amcham

ADHOC projects, client projects, CSR

  • Ad hoc strategic office projects, any client care-related projects (CSR and D&I initiatives e.g. B-green and Bakerwomen)

Skills and Experience:

  • Graduate degree in business, or related field preferred and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in a Professional Services environment, with experience leading BD/marketing for a practice group, service line, or industry group would be preferable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to prepare specialized written materials such as client proposals
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Strong judgment and ability to make well-reasoned independent decisions
  • Advanced understanding of strategic marketing and communications
  • Self-motivated and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Comfortable working across multiple cultures and time zones in a matrix organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including pleasant nature and ability to influence others
  • High degree of attention to detail
