We have an exciting opportunity to join progressive law firm Bevan Brittan. The UK legal industry is changing quickly and we are looking for someone to join our Transformation team to help us meet our strategic goals.

We are looking for someone that is flexible and supportive, that has great organisational skills and has a positive and proactive approach to implementing change. We are looking for a candidate that can champion new ways of working and is a confident communicator, helping our legal teams identify opportunities to work in more efficient and productive ways and supporting them through the change process.

The role

  • Taking a leading role in the change delivery life cycle from analysing business needs, gathering and documenting requirements, designing and developing the solution through to supporting the teams that successfully implement change.
  • Leading process mapping workshops with a range of stakeholder. Analysis of 'As Is' processes including as needed time and motion data, volume data, cost analysis etc and identifying pain points and ways to address them.
  • Developing 'To Be' processes that address pain points and recommending how changes to technology, processes and resources can deliver benefits (quantifying benefits and as needed).
  • Gathering and analysing business requirements and writing business requirements documents
  • Supporting teams prioritise requirements.
  • Working with internal facing teams on internal processes and working with legal teams on the delivery of legal services to clients.
  • Functional testing of software, systems and processes, capturing and reporting test results.
  • Supporting trialing and piloting of new products including creating test plans and collating feedback
  • Analysing and reporting on Go Live support.
  • Issue management including updating and managing defect logs and working with the appropriate team / supplier to reach a resolution.
  • Change request management for existing systems such as case management system, including capturing and documenting requirements, managing the definition, development and deployment of the solution.
  • Creating and updating project documentation including PID, RAID log, project plan and Visio maps
  • Facilitating project meetings and steering group meetings, capturing and distributing outputs, following up on agreed actions.
  • Data analysis and reporting.
  • Liaising with our internal teams such as the IT Team for service transition to business as usual including completing handover documentation.

What we are looking for from you

Desirable

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience of supporting projects and process mapping.
  • Good understanding of technology and how it can be used to improve service delivery.
  • Excellent IT literacy in all Microsoft products, particularly Excel. Knowledge and experience of Visio an advantage.
  • Knowledge of law firms and the delivery of legal services.
  • Knowledge of Mattersphere and HighQ.

Essential

  • Previous experience of business analysis.
  • Ability to build relationships with the project team and other stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to convey messages to relevant stakeholders in an appropriate format.
  • Ability to get to grips with new technology and demonstrate its benefits to colleagues.
  • Desire to learn new ways of working and find ways to encourage others to adopt new ways of working.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to write detailed reports and develop communication plans.
  • Great people skills and confidence in speaking to people at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills in Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio.
  • Ability to adapt to different management styles and approaches.
  • BCS or equivalent qualifications in Business Analysis, process mapping and requirements gathering.

We operate a hybrid working model based on the needs of our clients, teams and people. Our core business hours are 9am - 5:15pm Monday to Friday, but we're open to our people working more flexibly around those times and welcome a conversation with you if you have any questions about this.
