Join a team of experts and
progressive thinkers
The Property Department has experienced significant growth in recent
years, which is set to continue, with a variety of major tender wins
in relation to a range of high-profile clients and projects across the country.
Due to the above, we are currently seeking a Solicitor or Associate
(2-4 years' PQE) to work within the Commercial Property team. You will
be based in any one of our regional offices; Bristol, Birmingham or
Leeds (with flexible hybrid working), and the role will involve
occasional travel to London.
The role
The role will focus mainly on advising in relation to large-scale
regeneration and development projects, alongside more general
commercial property work. It is an excellent opportunity to play a
significant role in helping to grow further, a practice which is
already a leader in its field, given the high-quality client and
project appointments referred to above. There will also be the
opportunity to work closely with more senior colleagues and in
particular to further hone specialist regeneration and development
expertise, as well as leading on a variety of such projects.
You will be advising a range of national and regional public and
private sector organisations including Greater London Authority, the
City of London, Peabody Trust and Places for People, as well as many
of the London Boroughs and other local authorities across the UK.
Alongside high-quality work, you will also have plenty of opportunity
to meet clients, grow your own network and develop other business
development skills. There are genuine promotion prospects for those
with the ambition and skills to progress, plenty of variation in the
work, and significant support from both the Property team and the
wider firm to help you develop your own practice.
What we are looking for from you
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and
experience key to the role:
Some development experience desirable (although significant
experience not essential)
Strong communication skills with a professional approach to work
Confidence in working directly with clients
An ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
An aptitude for drafting and legal analysis
A keenness to work collaboratively with colleagues at junior and
senior levels
Excellent project management skills and the ability to work
efficiently to meet deadlines
A practical and commercial approach
An interest in business development
Work with approachable people
When we ask colleagues what makes
Bevan Brittan a great place to work, the most popular thing they say
is "the people". The overwhelming consensus is that we
make time for each other. We welcome questions and support each
other. Naturally, we look for new colleagues who align with our
values.

Acting responsibly, now and for
the future
To us, being a responsible business is second nature; a core part of
Bevan Brittan's identity. Our colleagues are heavily involved in
shaping and delivering activity across the four pillars of our Responsible
Business strategy: Community Engagement; Environmental
Sustainability; Equality, Diversity & Inclusion; and Wellbeing.
Our people deliver pro bono legal work for charities and
not-for-profit organisations. We play an active role in our local
communities and donated £100,000 across our four regional office
charities last year. We are also proudly carbon neutral. We've
achieved the UN's Climate Neutral Now accreditation and our
environmental sustainability plan focuses on achieving our net zero
carbon target by 2040.
Collectively, the four pillars ensure we look after our colleagues'
wellbeing; offer an environment in which everyone can progress on
merit, give something back to the communities in which we work; and
protect the environment.
