Business Support Services Operations Manager (Legal Support Services)

Play a critical role in managing the delivery of administrative legal support services to the Firm across our four offices.

Location: Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds

Main Responsibilities

  • Key player in the Business Support Services leadership team to deliver excellent administrative support to legal teams across the firm
  • Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies, recommend and implement solutions where appropriate
  • Develop existing and create new operational policies and procedures applying them across the team to improve efficiency
  • Support with the recruitment, on-boarding and training of team members at all levels
  • Play a key role as part of project teams, looking at a variety of transformation projects, for example the implementation of new software or updated software and how this affects processes and procedures the team undertakes
  • Proactively use data, statistics and management information to prepare reports to inform decision making
  • Responsible for key suppliers, including the procurement process and proactive account management of those suppliers to ensure delivery to agreed service levels
  • Support and educate teams around risk and health and safety policies, ensuring compliance across the department
  • Be involved in supporting and maintaining Bevan Brittan's ISO accreditations

The Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years' experience of managing business operations in a professional environment
  • Experience of working with and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Able to demonstrate a continuous improvement mind-set
  • Proven history of managing multiple work streams
  • Ability to work collaboratively and across departments to ensure consistency of service delivery
  • Strong people management experience and able to coach and train team members
  • Able to analyse and present data in order to inform decision making and measure progress
  • Experience of leading projects and change management
  • Experience of working with highly sensitive and confidential information
