Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Trade Mark Attorney / Manager to join our Intellectual Property team, known for their "comprehensive commercial and contentious IP offering to rival those of City and international firms." (Chambers).

You will play an important role in managing and supervising our Trade Mark Attorneys and Paralegals whilst helping to oversee the trade mark portfolio practice.

Responsibilities

  • To work with a fairly high degree of autonomy with input from partners.
  • Responsibility for managing and supervising attorneys and paralegals.
  • Overseeing management of trade mark portfolios including trade mark clearance advice and advice on filing strategy.
  • Overseeing trade mark prosecution including handling registry disputes, advising on strategy and settlement, legal submissions and witness evidence.
  • Overseeing assignment or recordal projects.
  • Managing the instruction and work of foreign attorneys.
  • Providing cost estimates and working to budgets and overseeing those of junior colleagues.
  • Actively contributing to know how, training and people development.
  • Contributing to business development including writing articles, attending industry events and assisting with pitches.
  • Leading efficiency, technology and improvement projects, reporting to partners.
