Working within the Commercial
Disputes team
Due to continued strategic growth and high
client demand we are looking for an experienced commercial litigator
to join our highly regarded Tier 1 ranked Disputes team in Cardiff.
The work we handle is complex, diverse and demanding and concerns
all aspects of commercial litigation. Our clients are generally based in London,
but also across the UK and internationally. We have offices in
Cardiff and London. We work flexibly and team members work from home
and/or from either of our offices.
You will have a passion for contentious work and your caseload will
be varied. You will handle your own matters (with supervision) and
assist the partners and associates on more complex matters. You'll
also be involved in a range of business development activities. This
is an excellent opportunity to develop your career and reputation
within commercial litigation.
You'll need:
minimum 2 years PQE within a reputable litigation team
excellent written and oral communication skills, clear written
presentation, strong organisational skills, good time management,
good initiative and problem-solving ability
technically competent and commercially aware
team-focused with a flexible and collaborative approach to working
with others, but also able to work alone
a strong client focused approach with plenty of drive and
enthusiasm to help us to provide an excellent client service
You will be able to:
work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, tackle
tough decisions and present innovative ways to help clients
adhere to internal procedures and systems of Capital including
file / case management, time recording, WIP management
keep up to date with law and practice as part of continuing
professional development (CPD)
maintain high standards of professional conduct while generating
required practice income
ensuring that the fees earned sufficiently exceed total costs and
expenses incurred.
