Working within the Corporate team
The Corporate team provides a full-service
offering and includes transactional experience across M&A and
Private Equity. We have a large team, comprising 14 qualified
lawyers (supported by trainees and paralegals) that are all
dedicated to Corporate transactions. We are consistently towards the
top of Experian's Welsh deal list, ranked tier 1 in the Legal 500
and have been shortlisted for Regional Legal Adviser of the Year at
the prestigious Private Equity Awards for the last two years.
Our focus is to develop our reputation
nationally as a leading Corporate and Private Equity practice - with
the ability to handle complex or high-value matters whilst being
practical, pragmatic and cost-effective. We also want to be
recognised for our ability to work alongside senior teams of major
businesses, and their in-house lawyers. Our clients are generally based in London,
but also across the UK and internationally. We have offices in
Cardiff and London. We work flexibly and team members work from home
and/or from either of our offices.
We're looking for a highly motivated
corporate lawyer who combines good academic credentials with sound
practical experience, good business judgment and strong
interpersonal skills. You'll bring experience across the full spectrum of
private equity and M&A transactions.
You'll need:
experience of a full range of corporate work
to understand the importance of client relationships
to be technically competent and commercially aware
excellent written and oral communication skills, clear written
presentation, strong organisational skills, good time management,
good initiative and problem-solving ability
to be team-focused with a flexible and collaborative approach to
working with others, but also able to work alone
plenty of drive and enthusiasm to help us to provide an excellent
client service
to travel regularly to London and Cardiff to visit clients and colleagues
You will be able to:
help to build and maintain client relationships
support the development of junior lawyers
work effectively under pressure to help clients
adhere to internal procedures and systems of Capital including
file / case management, time recording, WIP management
keep up to date with law and practice as part of continuing
professional development (CPD)
maintain high standards of professional conduct while generating
required practice income
