Newcastle where a team are located from client premises.
HR Advisory Service
The HR Advisory service is an innovative service that
delivers outsourced HR advice and support to organisations on a range of complex and
day-to-day ER and HR issues. We work alongside the client’s internal
HR team, where they have one, to provide specialist advice in
accordance with their local policies and procedures.
We are unique in our approach in that we are attached
to a leading law firm and have established the HR Advisory service
as ‘go to investigators’ when an organisation has a requirement. Our
work includes:
Independent investigations into disciplinary,
grievance or associated matters including senior managers,
directors and doctors;
Best practice guidance on policy framework, TUPE
transfers etc.;
Major restructuring exercises;
Independent and senior presence on disciplinary or
appeals panels;
Sickness Absence management projects;
Design and delivery of training programmes;
Cultural reviews;
Independent review of concluded ER matters
Additionally the service also provides a fully
outsourced model to provide in-house ER services to organisations
that are looking for a commercial approach and sophisticated
reporting via our case management platform.
The Role
Specifically, this role will:
Manage a case load of investigations/projects/reviews
for a range of clients from both public and private sectors,
working to agreed KPI’s to deliver high quality outcomes;
Attend, present and advise at hearings where required;
Develop and deliver training on HR related topics
including investigations training;
Develop policies and procedures for clients in line
with Best Practice and legislation;
Conduct investigations for the NHS using the MHPS framework;
Develop creative and commercially focused solutions
to concerns for clients including absence management;
Skills set
Candidates should have:
Up-to-date and detailed knowledge of employment
legislation and HR best practice, with the ability to implement
innovative and practical solutions;
An excellent standard of written work and confident
report writing ability;
Confidence and ability to manage clients, difficult
relationships and board level priorities;
A passion for ER, with excellent knowledge of a broad
range of issues and the ability to interpret policy and advise on risk;
Ability to work autonomously and deliver to KPIs;
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to establish good working relationships and professional credibility;
Ability to handle constantly changing priorities and
work to tight deadlines;
Experience of the development and delivery of
training programmes;
Ability to diagnose, develop and deliver effective HR
interventions in a variety of situations;
Hold a CIPD (or equivalent) qualification/degree
level qualification;
Good range of IT skills, including Microsoft®
Outlook™, Word™ and Excel™.
