The Role
Our team is growing and we are seeking an ambitious and
exceptional commercial lawyer to help further develop our highly
regarded practice.
Our Corporate and Commercial department has a dynamic
and varied mix of work across both the public sector and private
clients, predominately in the Healthcare sector. Our work covers a
range of areas including, procurement, innovation and medical
technology, drafting and advising on a wide range of commercial
contracts, including advice on contractual and performance
management, commercialisation, income generation and intellectual
property rights, IT contracts for hardware, software and systems,
collaboration and joint ventures, NHS and local authority
partnership agreements and Integrated Care Systems, financing health
start-ups, statutory mergers and acquisitions and PFI work. Our work
is often high profile and represents some of the leading edge work
in the NHS.
We are now seeking a commercial lawyer (ideally with 2+
years PQE) to join our busy commercial team that operates in London,
Leeds and Winchester. The successful candidate will undertake a wide
range of high quality and complex commercial work primarily for our
public and private sector clients across the health, housing and
emergency service sectors predominantly.
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded
solicitor who can work very closely with clients, provide first
class practical advice and who istechnically proficient in drafting
and advising on a range of contractual agreements, including service
contracts, joint venture arrangement, contracts for the supply of
goods and services and IT / software related contractual
arrangements .Prior experience in public sector work will be an
advantage but is not essential.
The role will involve responsibility for your own
caseload as well as working closely with the partners and solicitors
of the commercial teams on business development opportunities. A
genuine interest in growing business from existing clients as well
as targeting and attracting new clients is therefore very important.
