The role
We are looking for applicants in either our London or
Birmingham office who can demonstrate that they have a genuine
interest in defendant clinical negligence and who wish to develop
their career in this area of law.
The Clinical Law department comprises around 80 fee
earners over three offices (Wimbledon, Leeds and Birmingham). The
firm has been a member of NHS Resolution's panel of lawyers since
its inception and, in addition to clinical negligence work, the
department carries out a wide range of other work which includes
inquests, advising on regulatory matters, public law issues,
judicial reviews, mental health issues and clinical risk management.

Skills set
We are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious and
experienced solicitor to join our highly regarded and expanding
clinical negligence/medical malpractice litigation team. The
successful candidate will be expected to have litigation experience
and well-versed in understanding the needs of our client base,
preferably gained at a NHS Resolution Panel firm, together with
experience of handling and advising on cases involving complex
issues and maximum severity injuries. Experience of managing claims
against GPs is an advantage but not essential. The role will involve
managing a caseload of claims on instructions from NHS Resolution.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with
a partner who will supervise your work and there will be
opportunities for client contact and business development.
We will consider candidates who would like to be based
in our London or Birmingham office.
