THE ROLE
The Corporate and Commercial Division
is looking for a Lawyer to be based from either our London,
Birmingham or Leeds offices. The role will involve helping with a
wide range of commercial dispute resolution cases including
contractual claims, procurement challenges, competition, contentious
intellectual property, debt recovery, fraud recovery, reputation
management and defamation.
We act for the full range of the
firm's clients. We pride ourselves on providing a fantastic service
to our clients and maintaining excellent working relationships
within the firm and outside. Previous experience of commercial
litigation and/or corporate/commercial projects is essential for
this role.
We are looking for someone who has
excellent people and drafting skills, willingness to create and
maintain templates and precedents, enjoys variety in their work,
feels confident in managing external counsel and experts, will take
early responsibility for handling the challenges of
litigation/mediation/adjudication/arbitration/expert determinations,
will work to meet financial targets and support business development
activities including CSR, and who is happy to work independently and
co-operatively. The successful candidate will be positive and
flexible, able to prioritise work to meet deadlines, relish
attention to detail, want to be part of a highly motivated and
successful team, professional and approachable.
The role offers the opportunity to
develop leadership skills and will require candidates to demonstrate
the ability to build collegiate relationships internally and
externally and drive forward the development of our practice.
