Capula are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our New York office.

Overall purpose of the job:

  • Provide proactive and efficient end user support keeping resolution times to a minimum
  • Ensure a professional, timely and high quality support provision to user requests, ensuring users and tickets are always kept up to date
  • Provide support for all aspects of IT across Capula's global offices
  • New user setup and hardware installations
  • Coordinate and undertake desk moves within and outside of office hours
  • Administer access permissions to internal and external applications, liaising with the relevant third parties as necessary
  • Responsible for logging and tracking equipment and assets
  • Writing documentation for support and procedural purposes
  • Accurately and consistently follow company and team policies, procedures and standards
  • Ensure the Technology Infrastructure Manager is informed of all relevant issues, concerns or incidents (including near-misses) and any breaches of policy
  • Actively participate in Business Continuity planning and testing
  • Uphold the firm's cybersecurity standards and best practices
  • Where necessary provide guidance and training to end users
  • Assist other Technology Infrastructure colleagues where possible
  • Assist the Technology Infrastructure Manager with any other duties as needed
  • Remain contactable and available for work outside of office hours when required
  • Travel to the Greenwich, CT office, or Disaster Recovery sites on an ad hoc basis as required.

Note that in addition to these duties employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required.

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree with a 2.1 or higher in Computer Science or relevant professional certifications


  • Minimum of three to five years' experience, of which at least three years spent working within financial services
  • Experience of working in a fast paced pressurized environment
  • Experience of delivering projects and initiatives aligned to business demands
  • Proven demonstrable experience in a similar role


Technical skills

  • Experience in supporting and troubleshooting issues in a Windows desktop environment
  • Active Directory administration
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting HP desktop PCs and iOS devices
  • Administration of Cisco Unified Communications
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Exchange administration
  • Software/Patch Deployment
  • Excel, VBA, Python, Pyxll
