Capula are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join
our team in London. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience
supporting end users, preferably within financial services.
Overall purpose of the job:
Overall purpose of the job:
Responsibility for Capula's EUC environment through
management, configuration and security of the global estate,
comprising physical & cloud workstations, fixed & mobile
telephony, unified comms, email & messaging.
Manage and support the end user computing estate
(hardware/software) throughout its lifecycle. Hands on technical
responsibility to deliver a stable, secure and strategically
aligned environment, building and/or deploying enterprise grade
environments/applications, updates and solutions
Provide proactive and efficient end user desk-side support to
ensure minimal disruption and downtime, root cause analysis and
service improvements for all incidents and requests, ensuring
resolution times are kept to an absolute minimum
Ensure a professional, timely and high-quality support
provision to user requests, ensuring users and tickets are
always kept up to date
Oversee & participate in adds, moves and changes, ensuring
user onboarding/off-boarding is completed accurately and in
accordance to Capula's policy.
Coordinate and undertake desk-moves where needed to assist
wider team
Administer user access & permission changes for both
internal & external systems and platforms, ensuring the
firms process and policies are adhered to.
Writing documentation for support, training and procedural purposes
Accurately and consistently follow company and team policies,
procedures and standards
Ensure the Head of User Experience is informed of all relevant
issues, concerns or incidents (including near-misses) and any
breaches of policy
Actively participate in Business Continuity planning and testing
Uphold the firm's cybersecurity standards and best practices
Education and Qualifications
Degree with a 2.1 or higher in Computer Science or relevant
professional certifications
Experience
Minimum of five years' experience supporting end users within
financial services
Strong understanding & demonstratable experience of supporting
the end user computing environment
Experience of working in a fast-paced pressurised environment
Experience of delivering projects and initiatives aligned to
technical & business demands through to success
Handling escalations effectively and providing feedback to the
wider team
Experience of working in a service desk\ticket-based environment,
resolving problems using problem resolution and escalation
procedures leveraging diagnostic and incident tracking tools
Technical skills
Required:
Experience managing, configuring & securing a global EUC
estate in a physical/virtual environment, building/deploying MS
Windows images, application packaging/deploying
Advanced knowledge of supporting infrastructure resources such as,
Active Directory, Exchange, File Services, DHCP & DNS.
Windows OS & Patch management experience ensuring security,
stability and scalability across the global EUC estate, using tools
such as SCCM, MDT/WDS, ManageEngine, Rapid7.
Management of MDM platforms, application control and user personalisation/policy
Fixed line telephony management and administration (Cisco/Speakerbus)
Maintaining and troubleshooting HP desktop PCs and iOS devices
