Key Responsibilities

BD/Admin/Publications:

  • Reviewing daily case lists
  • Tracking and identifying forthcoming cases
  • Producing first drafts of case reports
  • Scanning legal and insurance press
  • Processing case alerts and managing alert service
  • Liaising with design/ library etc.
  • Uploading to Vuture and Website
  • Proofreading and editing
  • General legal and market research

Training:

  • All support for legal training including, liaising with counsel, fee earners etc.
  • Admin arrangements for training sessions
  • Assisting with slides/presentations
  • Maintaining records
  • Proofreading
  • Collating supporting materials for speakers and assisting internal speakers with research and preparation.
  • Researching future training needs
  • General legal and market research

Knowledge:

  • Legal research
  • Market research
  • Liaison with library and developing legal support resources and maintaining intranet pages.
  • Maintenance of knowledge database including uploading all know how

Research/Admin support:

  • Research support for market-focused projects, to include maintaining know how on all current issues.
  • Tracking legal and market developments
  • Court attendance to monitor developments
  • General support on specific projects
  • Specific support to senior team members

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Completed the LPC or equivalent.
  • An undergraduate law degree or equivalent (minimum 2:1 required).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Eager to learn and get involved with a friendly and high performing department.
  • Previous paralegal experience or experience in a research role (desired but not essential).
