Clyde & Co's trial and litigation group seeks an enthusiastic
attorney JD 2016 - 2019 to join a
dynamic trial team in our downtown Los Angeles office. The
team handles matters on behalf of public and private entities
primarily in the areas of employment litigation, personal injury,
sexual misconduct, and class actions. The ideal candidate will have an
interest in furthering their litigation and trial skills as a key
member of an active and growing litigation practice.
Responsibilities
Capable of independently managing a
case from responsive pleading through trial preparation
Prepare pleadings, discovery motions, dispositive motions, and
other filings
Prepare discovery (both affirmative and responsive)
Take and defend depositions,
including expert depositions
Attend court conferences, hearings, and mediations
Conduct legal research
Prepare for and assist in trials
Education and Experience Required
Admitted to practice in California
5-8 years of litigation/trial experience
Strong academics and solid work history
State and Federal court experience
Skills and Abilities Required
Must possess strong oral advocacy skills
Must possess strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
A strong desire to try cases
Must be based in Los Angeles or Orange County. Noin-office presence is
required, but must be
willing to travel for trials, in-person client meetings, and depositions.

The salary range for this position is $185,000-$200,000. The range
for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are
considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited
to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications;
and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range
estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic
differential associated with the location at which the position may be
filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top
of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent
on the facts and circumstances of each case.
