Description
Clyde & Co seeks a highly motivated attorney with approximately
3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and insurance coverage
litigation. We are looking for an excellent writer with exceptional
critical thinking skills who is highly motivated and proactive with
their caseload.
Our hiring practice group represents international and domestic
insurers in complex insurance coverage and insurance coverage
litigation matters in a broad range of liability and first party
policies, including energy and construction insurance, concert and
event cancellation insurance, as well as disability insurance for
athletes and high net worth individuals.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide
coverage advice and recommendations to clients;
Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis;
Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with
supporting briefs and other legal correspondence;
Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties;
Education and Experience
Excellent academic credentials;
Admitted to practice in California (required) and New York
(preferred, but not required);
Approximately 3 - 5 years of experience in complex insurance
coverage litigation matters;
Skills and Abilities Required
Excellent legal research, writing and verbal communication skills;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature;
Ability to handle time sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously;
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly;
Excellent math skills and proficiency in MS Excel is preferred but
not required.

The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $185,000 . The range
for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are
considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited
to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications;
and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range
estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic
differential associated with the location at which the position may be
filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top
of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent
on the facts and circumstances of each case.
