The Firm's Atlanta office seeks a dynamic individual to support the insurance litigation team.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review court dockets; pull court filings from PACER and other court databases
  • Conduct various document searches, background investigations, litigation history checks, corporate and factual research
  • Initial drafting of written discovery for attorney review/revisions
  • Review and summarize written discovery responses from opposing parties
  • Summarize various documents and/or pleadings, prepare timeline/chronology
  • Download document productions, save to firm system, and liaise with vendors to upload to document review platforms
  • Review and tag documents in review platform
  • Redact documents, Bates label, burn discs, and coordinate document production
  • Ensure compliance with ESI stipulations and protocols
  • Prepare privilege logs
  • Log incoming and outgoing document productions
  • Prepare witness packs for depositions; organize document notebooks for attorney review
  • Prepare exhibits for examinations under oath, depositions, motions, hearings, and trial
  • Summarize transcripts of examinations under oath and depositions
  • Send documents to experts and keep detailed logs regarding same
  • Prepare and update bordereau of claims, reporting status and recent developments every 30-45 days

Required Qualifications

  • 4-5 years litigation experience; insurance litigation background preferred
  • Strong organizational, oral and written communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced with e-filing and e-service in multiple jurisdictions
  • Creative problem solver who takes initiative to accomplish tasks with a minimal level of supervision
  • Experienced with a variety of computer applications, document review platforms, and internet programs: Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel), Outlook, iManage, Relativity, NextPoint, and Westlaw
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate

This is a hybrid position with 3+ days a week in the office.
