The Firm's Atlanta office seeks a
dynamic individual to support the insurance litigation team.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Review court dockets; pull court filings from PACER and other
court databases
Conduct various document searches, background investigations,
litigation history checks, corporate and factual research
Initial drafting of written discovery for attorney review/revisions
Review and summarize written discovery responses from opposing parties
Summarize various documents and/or pleadings, prepare timeline/chronology
Download document productions, save to firm system, and liaise
with vendors to upload to document review platforms
Review and tag documents in review platform
Redact documents, Bates label, burn discs, and coordinate document production
Ensure compliance with ESI stipulations and protocols
Prepare privilege logs
Log incoming and outgoing document productions
Prepare witness packs for depositions; organize document notebooks
for attorney review
Prepare exhibits for examinations under oath, depositions,
motions, hearings, and trial
Summarize transcripts of examinations under oath and depositions
Send documents to experts and keep detailed logs regarding same
Prepare and update bordereau of claims, reporting status and
recent developments every 30-45 days
Required Qualifications
4-5 years litigation experience; insurance litigation background preferred
Strong organizational, oral and written communication, and
analytical skills
Ability to learn quickly and perform in a fast-paced environment
Experienced with e-filing and e-service in multiple jurisdictions
Creative problem solver who takes initiative to accomplish tasks
with a minimal level of supervision
Experienced with a variety of computer applications, document
review platforms, and internet programs: Microsoft Suite
(particularly Excel), Outlook, iManage, Relativity, NextPoint, and Westlaw
Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate
This is a hybrid position with 3+ days a week in the office.
