About the role
We are seeking an ambitious, intelligent, and highly motivated law
graduate to join the practice led by Partner David Lee who is
consistently recognised and ranked as a leading insurance and
litigation lawyer.
Opportunities like this are rare and the successful Law Grad will
work directly with the Partner and senior lawyers with exposure to
large scale, high value, multi-party, and/or multi-jurisdiction
litigation. This role includes handling the defence of complex public
liability claims relating to personal injury and property damage.
You will be joining a broad practice who regularly interact with our
London colleagues. We are growing the practice and therefore this is
an un-rivalled opportunity for an aspiring lawyer to establish
yourself early in private practice and gain expertise acting for local
and overseas based clients. The wider team is closeknit providing
further opportunity to learn quickly from the best.

Overview of the role
Under the direct supervision of qualified lawyers and Partners, you
can expect to perform a range of tasks which will include:
attending client meetings and teleconferences;
attending and contributing to matter planning meetings;
preparing file notes, memorandums and summaries of internal
discussions and meetings with clients, legal counsel or relevant
third parties;
assist with the preparation and maintenance of client files;
drafting, analysing and interpreting a variety of legal documents;
drafting correspondence and emails to clients and other parties as directed;
drafting court documents
filing of court documents
assisting with drafting witness statements and proposed affidavits
in preparation for court proceedings;
undertaking research and preparing summary memorandums;
liaising with and providing support to barristers (i.e. preparing
Briefs to Counsel);
keeping updated with legal developments within your practice area,
contributing to internal current awareness and learning and
development education sessions;
assisting with business development activities which include, but
are not limited to, writing articles for clients on relevant
industry updates, preparing client presentations, assisting the
business development team in preparing capability statements and
with information for tenders, attending and hosting client events.

excellence, people and team, client relationships, finance and
practice management and personal effectiveness.
