Aviation Finance Transactions Paralegal - Manchester

We are seeking to recruit a Paralegal to join our Manchester Aviation team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will support the firm's global Aviation Finance teams in London, New York, Dubai and Hong Kong.

The Aviation Team

Our dedicated global aircraft finance and leasing practice has experience with transactions involving all types of aircraft and financing structures.

They act for airlines, lessors, lenders, financial institutions and investors on commercial and business aircraft finance transactions worldwide.

Clients include established names as well as new and emerging market entrants. We have knowledge of all types of commercial aircraft finance, lease and sale and purchase transactions.

Our extensive experience includes acting on numerous multi-billion-dollar new aircraft orders, thousands of aircraft and engine operating lease and leveraged operating lease finance transactions, tax-structured financings, insurance and guarantee-backed financings, pre-delivery payment financings and advising on commercial dispute, enforcement and workout situations.

Experience and Skills Required

The successful candidate will support on a wide range of transactional, finance and leasing matters with our aviation clients, including commercial airlines and business jets. There is also opportunity to be involved in regulatory work and supporting finance/leasing-based litigation.

  • An undergraduate law degree or equivalent.
  • Aviation Finance or other banking & finance transactional experience would be highly advantageous, but not essential.
  • Experience of handling own caseload is required for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle high volumes of work.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently by managing time in a fast-paced environment.
  • A professional manner with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
