We have opportunities at both Associate and Senior Associate levels in the team led by Tim Searle in Perth. Tim and his team advise and represent insurance and reinsurance companies, Lloyd's underwriters, multinational corporations, professional services firms and financial institutions in relation to disputes and commercial issues across a range of sectors, including:

  • energy;
  • mining & resources construction & engineering;
  • insurance and reinsurance;
  • financial services;
  • telecommunications & information technology;
  • manufacturing;
  • agriculture; and
  • hospitality & entertainment.

Tim and his team advise insurers on coverage issues across a wide range of lines of insurance business including contract works, property damage & business interruption, public and products liability, product recall, contingency, energy, professional indemnity (particularly in the construction and engineering sector) and D&O. They also act as defence counsel for insureds and run Supreme and Federal Court litigations across most Australian jurisdictions. The team has an international focus and works with clients around the world.

Key Skills & Experience

We have opportunities for lawyers qualified in Australia or England & Wales from NQ to Senior Associate level who have:

  • a strong dispute resolution background gained with a leading private practice law firm;
  • commercial awareness, with some experience in the energy, construction and / or insurance sectors preferred but not essential;
  • excellent communication skills;
  • strong academic credentials;
  • a positive and collegiate attitude.
